Frequently asked questions
Do I need to change email providers?
No. MailContactDaemon connects to the mailboxes you already use — Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, shared mailboxes, or any SMTP/IMAP server. Nothing changes for your colleagues or your customers.
What if I don’t have my own domain yet?
MailContactDaemon does not sell or register domains. You need a domain you (or your company) already own, plus mailboxes on it. Then Domain health guides SPF, DKIM, and DMARC at your registrar.
How is pricing calculated?
From what you choose: connected senders and monthly volume available. Public API and advanced reports are separate options. The simulator in the pricing section gives you the exact amount for your setup.
What if I send less than the volume I contracted?
Volume stays reserved for you during the month and is neither refunded nor rolled over. That’s why the plan is changeable anytime: if you expect a quieter period, lower the volume before renewal.
Is there an annual contract?
Yes, if you want. Annual billing discounts the same plan. By default the subscription is monthly, no commitment, and you can switch when it suits you.
Do you guarantee emails reach the inbox?
No honest tool guarantees that: delivery depends on your domain, reputation, and the recipient. What we do is respect each sender’s daily limits, space sends, detect bounces, and warn you before burning an address.
Are detected opens reliable?
An open means the tracking pixel was loaded. Apple Mail Privacy Protection, image proxies, and security scanners can load it without anyone reading the message. That’s why we always say “detected opens,” never “reads.”
